Operating Principle
The DW-22 operates using a specialized probe that forms a magnetic circuit with the specimen under test. These signals, combined with user-entered specimen detail such as thickness of the sample and Induction in Tesla, are processed by the instrument to calculate accurate iron loss values.

Big probe is the standard probe provided when you purchase DW22.
This probe covers 60mm by 20mm area of the sample sheet.
It is advised to use standard sample size when using big probe.
Standard sample size is 305mm by 30mm.
Small probe
Effective specimen area: 45mm X 15mm
Small probe is provided on request from the customer, when the sample surface area is small, we can use small probe to measure the quality of lamination.
Customer can purchase small probe for measurement of watt loss of Motor stampings, EI laminations of transformers etc.
